Green Cars: lower emissions, less car tax and a cleaner planet

It can be quite confusing sifting your way through all of the information that is available about green/low emission cars. Most people are now very conscious of the implications of the decision they make about their choice of car, but what is best?

Should you go for petrol? diesel? perhaps a hybrid? you could consider lpg? how about an electric car? is it all about low CO2 emissions? which cars have the lowest emissions? and I guess that green cars aren't going to be cheap and will be expensive to buy and service? You could even consider alternative bio fuels?

Most car makers are waking up to environmental factors and introducing eco models to their ranges, e.g. Volkswagens Blue Motion models. When buying a new car there are many factors to consider such as: congestion charge, road tax etc.. you could save money as well as fulfil your social responsibility.
